An old love
(November 7, 2007)

Growing up CBC radio was an integral part of my life. My family listened to it religiously; the news, the weather, the fisherman's report, Morning Side, and on Saturday mornings - Quirks & Quarks. Okay, so that latter was more my father and I. In the past ten years I've given up listening to radio except for sometimes when I'm in the car. But as my partner is French speaking, we tend to listen to music rather than spoken word programs.

Today I realized that I'd forgotten to take advantage of my time on the computer to listen to spoken word radio while I'm doing other things. Yes, I can listen to Quirks & Quarks whenever I wish.

Even better, one of the recent shows was on one of my favorite topics - not one that I am anywhere near understanding mind you - String Theory and Cosmology.
