Twitter: an inconsequential banal silly word for inconsequential banal conversation. I couldn't agree more with @StephenFry.
I love Twitter but it depresses me to no end to see professional communicators misuse such a wonderful tool. Twittering is simple: It must come from a point whereby your simply expressing your personality. People sense, almost instantly, when you’re spewing BS or corporate top-down communications.
Please just show some personality so that I can distinguish you from the millions of tweeters who spew, well, BS.
People... show some personality! You don't have to tell me what you had for breakfast but that you're taking a few extra moments enjoying it with your kids or favorite pet, wouldn't hurt from time to time. I'll still respect you. I promise.
