Recently, I've really become a YouTube fan. I'm not talking about being a junkie of all that ... well, junk on there where people are enjoying thier 2 minutes of fame doing something silly and stupid. I'm talking about finding clips that are real gems which, up until now have been in the archives of some rich media company.
While looking for a music video, I found myself bumping into all kinds of wonderful clips. The most precious on that particular day was of Ella Fitzgerald singing Mac the Knife in Berlin... you know, that famous concert where she recorded perhaps the most famous version - the one where she forget the words and ad libbed like only Ella could.
What a treasure! What a joy!
